EA/DICE have recently released some footage from the Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta. Check it out!

What really keeps amazing me is the quality of the sound in the game. Let's hope the game-play lives up to the quality of the videos.
Bad Company 2 is released on March 2nd, 2010 in Australia.

Following what appears to be the standard method of news delivery for video game developers these days, DICE announced via Twitter today that Battlefield 1943 for PC will support a 32 player multiplayer limit.
While this is still short of the usual 64 players that Battlefield franchise players are used to, it's an improvement on the 24 player limit imposed on consoles, and the 18 player PC limit of COD:MW2.
http://twitter.com/Demize99 - "@AinEstonia 32 players for 1943 on PC."
With the upcoming release of Battlefield Bad Company 2 for PC, and the yet-to-be-announced (although confirmed) Battlefield 3 also on the horizon, it appears that Battlefield 1943 is just the tip of the massive Battlefield iceberg that DICE apparently plans to crash into some kind of metaphorical bad gaming Titanic (thereby destroying it with any luck). This level of commitment to their PC fanbase, even for a game that is as relatively minor as BF1943 is a great sign!

On behalf of [ADF], I'd like to wish member rhinodj a happy Birthday!
Though I'm not sure whether this message will reach him in Afghanistan, let's all wish him a happy Birthday in the forum post that accompanies this news post.

After the recent incredibly awful decisions by Codemasters and Infinity Ward not to put dedicated server support in their games, the Battlefield teams have officially come out and addressed the issue with regard to their games (via Twitter... lol).
This is a relief to the [ADF] leadership as both gamers and competitive clan leaders. We're still holding out hope that Codemasters and Infinity Ward will come to their senses and provide dedicated server files for their games, but in all honesty, we're not overly optimistic.
In other news, I would like to welcome theline1982 to the clan ranks. He was recruited on Oct. 19th as a Private into our OFPDR division. Please make him feel welcome.

Today, [ADF] has enlisted a new Vice President.
On behalf of the clan, I would like to welcome Sifulch to the Executive Command of [ADF] as our new Vice Presdent. Sifulch has served with [ADF] since BF2, and is highly decorated with 8 clan citations. I look foward to his contribution to the upper-most echelon of the clan's ranks.
In further news, [ADF] recruited two new additions to the clan today. I'd like you all to welcome Dradis and AFFROPANDA to our Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising division.

Those of us who have Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising are welcome to come to a private [ADF] social co-op session this coming Monday. We'll just be playing the game's missions together on Experienced difficulty mode for a couple of hours to get used to the game together.
Matches will be 4 man, so if we have more than that we'll split it up into different servers and mix it around as we play.

To mark the re-establishment of the [ADF] clan, the Executive Command has reassigned all clan members with a new rank based off our new and improved master list of ranks. These ranks may change upon the recruitment of newer members next month (for example, current grunts will likely become Officers). You can see your new ranks here.
Along with this rank change, the clan position for Vice President is now vacant. Earlier today, former VP NeoRicen respectfully and voluntarily vacated the position so a more active clan member can assume the role. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for the role of clan Vice President, please send a PM to Homer via the clan's forums.
The [ADF] constitution requires the appointment of a clan Vice President to account for any unforeseen absence of the clan President, so it is essential that this position be filled. If no nominations are received, I will appoint a Vice President in one week's time. The role isn't particularly demanding.
NeoRicen is now a 5 Star General in the Central Command division of [ADF].

Today, October 3rd 2009, the [ADF] clan will begin the first phases of development for an Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising division. Recruitment to the new division will initially be closed until the [ADF] leadership is able to fully assess the clan's viability in the game's environment. This probationary period is merely a precautionary measure (given the lack of a pre-release demo), and is expected to last no longer than one month, after which time an active recruitment campaign will begin.
Current clan members from past campaigns (BF2, COD4 etc.) will be permitted to stay members of [ADF] as social gamers if they choose not to buy Dragon Rising, though we strongly urge all of you to participate in this new division. Dragon Rising includes both a 16v16 (+AI) player vs. player multiplayer, and a 4 player co-operative mission-based multiplayer for us all to get involved with.
To accompany our move into a more tactical-based gaming environment, the [ADF] is also creating a special forces unit for clan members to apply for at a later date. This unit will consist of the clan's highest performing players, and will be used accordingly in competitive matches.
The website will soon be updated with our new rules, ranks, medals and information pages to reflect these changes.
More details soon!

After several glitches, hiccups, annoyances and grievances with our old forums, we have decided to install a much more stable alternative. The leadership of [ADF] apologizes for any inconveniences caused by this. If you require any posts, data or information from our old website or forums, we can make it available to you.
This move is for the best. Not only do these forums succeed where our old forums failed (staying logged in during posting, for example), but they are also much more aesthetically pleasing, stable, and functional. We have installed several modifications that will not only keep you up to date with the latest clan related information, but will also make our jobs as clan leaders much more simple. The move also reflects our changing direction, and preempts a major announcement by the Executive Command of [ADF]. Stay tuned for that.
Unfortunately, you will need to re-register your account. We are confident this will be the last time you will have to do this.
Some new features of this website include:
- Brand new layout.
- Greater protection against SPAM bots and advertising posts.
- Clever new banning mechanisms to keep away unwanted posters.
- A cleaner organizational structure of forums.
- Better integration between the front page of the website and its forums.
- New methods for clan leaders to seamlessly deliver important information to members.
- No more random, annoying log-outs!
- Much more...
Please send any feedback via forum PM to President Homer, and we will attempt to fix any issues as soon as possible.
